A Message From Area 2 Representative - Gail Kelsall

To Area 2 - AC&C 2009, April 24 - 26 - hosted by Silk'n Sounds in New Haven, CT was a fabulous experience! Congratulation to Sandy Frawley - the AC&C Chair - and all the members of Silk'n Sounds who put energy and vitality into making the event a smashing success!!!

Congratulation to the 8 choruses and 8 quartets who qualified for International! Wow!!!

What an achievement! And congratulations to all the competitors who crossed the stage and poured their hearts into their singing!! And special congrats to the 1st place chorus - New England Voices in Harmony! No dry eyes in your audience!!!! And to the 1st place quartet - Showcase! Goosebumps and shivers!!! What a display of talent and love of barbershop!! And there must be a special section reserved for the youngest quartet member - Samantha Tramack - a very talented young lady! And speaking of talent - Chris Hayes, you are absolutely awesome. "What a Dream Can Do" took our breath away and we needed lots of tissues!! It is truly a wonderful tribute!!!

I know that I am going to need a couple of weeks to recuperate from the past week-end.

Especially the Sat. night dinner and Showcase presentation. Did anyone recognize Jeff Forman?? Silk'n Sounds - we all had a great time!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!!

Sincerely,
Gail Kelsall, Area 2 Rep
